Afghanistan and Central Asian Association
Sepetember 2025 – present
My first time creating social media content for an official company, I learned about the importance of collaborative work and feedback in a creative environment. This volunteership granted the responsibility to maintain an active presence for the ACAA’s active social media accounts. My content mainly involved static image posters, created using Canva, with my own copywriting that often signified key occasions, such as World Mental Health Day and International Migrants Day, linking them back to how relevant they are to the charity’s efforts. This often involved researching the ACAA’s past events, using photos of past events in many of these posts.
I also adopted my own branding guide for many of these posts, such as incorporating a footer for the charity’s website, whilst also utilizing the ACAA’s very own, to make my posts all the more distinct.
I additionally created carousel posts, such as for International Mother Language Day, which were not common for the ACAA’s socials.
Linked below is my most significant work for the ACAA:
I also diversified the ACAA’s online presence by thinking of innovative ways to drive online engagement and developing material for other potential platforms. This primarily involved creating my own campaign for Dyslexia Awareness Week. I was originally tasked with creating only one post for the entire week, but I took on the personal initiative to expand this concept into one post for each weekday from Monday to Friday, with each one covering a different topic regarding dyslexia.
Each post begins with a poster displaying which day it was for the campaign to entice the audience on what topic the next day could cover. Topics I instantly knew I wanted to cover concerned what dyslexia was and dispelling the stereotypes surrounding it. These were the easier posts to create, as I was already fairly familiar with dyslexia, but I also did further research for the different types of dyslexia as well, as it was something me and possibly many were not fully aware of. Another topic I eventually covered was British celebrities that have dyslexia; since people wanting the ACAA’s services, such as refugees, were most likely to visit this post, I wanted to showcase aspects from local British culture, as the ACAA emphasised that one of their mian goals is helping refugees adjust to life in the UK. For the final day, I wanted to cover othe related conditions and dyslexia resources, to broaden the general public knowledge on disabilities.

Royal Holloway Harry Potter Society
September 2024 – May 2025
I was the secretary for the Harry Potter society at Royal Holloway University in my second year, and part of the role was being the social media manager. I created weekly posts, again using Canva, for Instagram, informing members of upcoming activities and events. Additionally, I would actively analyse the engagement of the posts, and adapted accordingly, such as changing the posts’ appearances and the times in which they are uploaded, to drive better engagement.
The posts I created were mainly static posters with consistent and cohesive design elements, such as darker appearances, to suit the tone and general perception of Harry Potter. This was to move away from the brighter aesthetics of the previous year’s posts, which I exemplified in the very first post of the year, in which the previous layout was torn open, exposing the new branding beneath.
I also implemented school-associated phrases into the rebrand such as a “Hollowarts timetable update”.

Higherin Academy
February – June 2026
As part of my brand ambassador role with Higherin Academy, I created original posters using Canva that promoted the Choose Audit and BPP Univeristy’s Fact or Fiction competitions for both social media and in-person promotion.

Uxbridge Tyres & Mechanics
October 2025
I was invited to help to help revitalise Uxbridge Tyres & Mechanics’s socials (@autofixdailyuxbridge on TikTok) with a series of short form videos sharing tips on how to look after a personal car, starring the owner Hamid Alizadeh.
These were designed to test video editing skills and scheduling. I planned for these 10 videos to be uploaded every weekday for the next two weeks, and advised Hamid to adjust any wording in his scripts. I filmed all the videos myself using a microphone to help project Hamid’s voice. I edited the videos using CapCut, with the final product showcasing the best takes and transitions to retain viewer engagement.
